Is there a course we can go on to prepare us for marriage?
At Christ Church we offer the Marriage Preparation Course to all couples getting married at our church. We recommend if you are thinking about getting married you both come on the course.
Why should we think about doing the course?
If you’re like most people you prepare and plan for many things in life: education, career, retirement and holidays. And most couples spend up to 250 hours planning their wedding, but very little time, if any, planning for married life. There are many things you can do to begding a liin builfelong, happy marriage. Investing in your relationship before you are married will reap rewards for many years to come
Is there any support after we get married?
We would recommend that you come to an additional course for married couples 2 or 3 years after you get married. This is run at Christ Church at least once a year. The course runs over seven evening sessions.
We also recommend Starfish, a local charity affiliated to Christ Church offering marriage counselling and support.
